Next thing I knew, the semester was over and I didn't know if I would ever see him again. A few months later, I got a random email for Dallin asking me to play in the Dusk to Dawn volleyball tournament in Sandy with him. I was pleasantly surprised and accepted not thinking anything would reall
y come of it. Dallin later told me that it was really a test. He had decided one of three things would happen 1) I would say no, 2) I would say yes and bring my boyfriend, or 3) I would come, single and unattached and we would have a great time. Needless to say, the last option is the one that ended up happening. We didn't do especially well in the tournament, but had a lot of fun playing volleyball until around midnight. We like to refer to this as our second 1st date. Before we knew it, school started again and I came back to Logan for my Senior year. I started seeing Dallin more and more regularly and became pretty good friends with his roommates. His roommates and my roommates ended up going to Bear Lake for a weekend road trip to stay in a friend's cabin. It was a lot of fun. The next week he asked me out on what would be the third and final first date. :-) That was near the end of September/beginning of October. We've had a lot of fun since then.On March 22, Dallin asked me to marry him. He completely surprised me, which isn't very easy to do. We ha

On June 28, 2008, we were married for time and all eternity in the Bountiful, Utah temple. It was an amazing day. We had the wedding dinner the night before. It was a casual and fun evening. It even included Creighton giving Dallin a Koecher Family Crest made out of Grand Marquis hubcap and an informal Koecher/Naegle/Bown/Bauman volleyball game. We couldn't leave out the sport that actually introduced us to eachother. The wedding ceremony was wonderful and the reception was a lot of fun. It was great to be surrounded by our family and closest friends. It was a day I will never forget. It was the day I married my best friend.
Basically, life is great. Right now, Dallin is working full time for Utah State University facilities and going to school part time. He will be finishing up this next Spring. I am going to the University of Utah (whoever would have thought I would someday become a Ute?) to get my Master's degree in social work. I should finish up this Spring/Summer too. I am doing my internship at LDS Family Services and learning a lot about what it means to really be a social worker. After graduation this next Spring, who knows where life will take us. All I know is that it is going to be an adventure.
Hey sis I finally got the chance to read through this. I love it. What a great way to have a journal. Keep it up and continue to add to it. Debra said there are places that will print them out for you. What a great idea.
