The (almost) perfect weekend.

Last weekend was almost perfect.  Dallin and I were finally able to go to the rec center to play racquetball.  We've tried several times but something always comes up or falls through.  Thanks for making it possible this time Beth.  Then Friday we went down and visited Oma and were able to go to the temple, once again, finally.  But, my favorite day was Saturday.  We got up and had a nice breakfast and cleaned the house and then decided to go on a drive and BBQ some hamburgers.  We ended up driving up through Kamas and going to Mill Hollow Reservoir.  Dallin's Grandpa used to take him fishing up there.  It was a beautiful drive and it was fun to be teaching Jackson how to fish in one of the same places Dallin learned.  Here are some pictures to illustrate.  I love living in Heber Valley.  I bet after you look at these pictures, you'll wish you lived here too.  And then we stopped by Granny's for a milkshake on our way home.  What a great weekend.  And we even had Sunday to relax and recover from our busyness before we had to come back to the real world.  I love weekends.

Grilling hamburgers at the Mill Hollow campground.

My cute family.

Silly Faces!

Teaching Jackson how to cast with his spiderman fishing pole.  Like father like son.

So beautiful!

Catching his first fish.

Wanting to know what Daddy was doing.

Maylee was good, but as you can tell from the picture, she wasn't very amused.  She spent most of the time asleep.

This is the reason it was the (almost) perfect weekend.  Just before we left, Jackson fell into the reservoir.  We were right there and got him out quick, but he didn't like that part.  We also didn't have any extra clothes for him so we had to strip him down for the drive home.  Luckily, it didn't cast a damper on his fishing experience.  If you ask him about fishing now, he'll tell you it's fun and that he fell in the water. ;-)  Glad it wasn't too tramautic.

I think we need more weekends like this.  Spending time with my family is my absolute favorite!  Love you guys!

Two months old

Believe it or not, Maylee is now 2 months old! She is smiling and happy and such a great baby. She is so different from Jackson at this age. Jackson was always pretty squirmy and relaxed more when we laid him down on the ground on a blanket and gave him some space. Maylee, on the other hand, loves to be held and cuddled. She is so snuggly. It's crazy to see the differences. We sure love her. Jackson is such a great big brother and has really adjusted well to having a sibling. I'm so grateful. I love my family.  She also had her 2 month check up.  She is healthy and doing well, for which we are so grateful.
Here are her stats:
Height: 24 inches-95th percentile
Weight: 11 lb 12 oz-75th percentile
Head: 39 cm-58th percentile

Two Months Old

I absolutely love this picture of her.  It was from her blessing day.  Dallin and I can't get over how beautiful she is.

Maylee and her Daddy.  It's hard to see, but her shirt says 'Daddy's Princess'.  I thought it was cute and just had to get a picture.

These next two pictures are to show that even though we eventually got a cute 2 month picture, she didn't exactly love the photo shoot this time.  Her face says it all...In the last one, I can just imagine her saying, "Mom, aren't we done yet?"

We love you Maylee girl!!!

Maylee's Blessing Day

We blessed our little Maylee girl this last Sunday.  She looked so beautiful.  She even wore the dress that my Grandma Bown made for my blessing day.  It's hard to believe that it hasn't been worn for so long.  After her blessing, we came back to our house for some lunch and treats.  Thank you to everyone who made the trek up and for those who wanted to.  We couldn't have done it without you all.  It was a great day.

And dashing young man.

Great Grandma Bown.  She's the talented one who made Maylee's/my dress.

Four Generations of Bauman/Bown/Koechers.  We need to get a five generation picture with Maylee's Great Great Grandma Bauman too.

Jackson and Beckham had a lot of fun riding Grandpa around the back yard.  They don't look like they're having fun at all, right?

Even Grandpa looks like he's having fun.
